As quarter 1 earnings reports start winding down, it is time to take a survey of the damage, especially in terms of mortgage lenders. McALLEN - The Rio Grande Valley showed signs of bucking national economic trends in March as its unemployment rate for March dropped.Cameron County's rate dropped to 5.8 percent unemployment for March, down from 5.9 percent in February.
